CODE OF CONDUCT
Global Workers observes a high standard of ethics, probity and professional conduct.
Under no circumstances will we engage in the business of mediation of any kind if we know or believe it may be harmful or detrimental to the best interests of any of the parties directly or indirectly involved or to society at large. We take pride in what we do and are deeply concerned with upholding our reputation.
Ethical behaviour is not understood as mere compliance with legal requirements, it extends to honesty, equity, integrity and social responsibility in everything we do. It is behaviour that withstands disclosure and stringent public scrutiny. We are firm believers in the principles over profits creed.
Honesty is the best policy and transparency is paramount. We always tell it exactly like it is and withhold no information from any of the parties directly involved in business dealings. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. With us, there is no need to be on the lookout for small print. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear.
Although we do not “police” or “enforce” international recruitment and placement campaigns conducted under our mediation we strongly encourage and expect compliance with all matters that have been agreed to in writing by the signatory parties.
We strive to overcome disputes or misunderstandings through dialogue and discussion and we never abandon ship. However, if these efforts prove ineffective and there is good reason to believe there has been wrongdoing, we will file a complaint and/or report the situation to the authorities governing the matter.
Global Workers acts very much like a referee – we don´t side with either the employers, nor the foreign workers. To us – these parties are in equal standing. When misunderstandings arise – and they often do – our concern is making a fair assessment based on facts while emphasizing the importance of abiding with contractual commitments and obligations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
